So if we had sold it for 45 cents on market it's a CGT event.
But if the company is wound up, and return all capital being 45 cents it's a deemed dividend between my cost base and the 45 cents??
But the ATO is "not of a mind" to let the company resume trading so people can sell it and thus have a CGT event. LOL
