The sale must proceed - we must end our time in Mali.
Say 18 months ago, I might have considered us staying and keeping our 26% such as some other posters have outlined.
HOWEVER, as Gwaihir has outlined in previous post, things have changed quite drastically in Mali and for that matter, other countries in the region, causing instability etc.
To me the reality is that I either vote Yes to the sale and receive some cash (as a shareholder) , or, vote no to the sale and lose (almost) any prospect of getting any cash back, at all (from our current holding in the J/V Goulamina company).
ALL IMO
