Seems the sticking point is the unfair customs duties and fees on imported equipment and supplies... half of which has already been paid,, but if the Mali govt has dug their heels in and won't budge then it should be settled out of tax exempt mining revenues.. Outside chance the Mali govt is so pleased with the mines progress and Community inputs that the $23m to date will do.
Mali will be well pleased and astounded at whats been achieved and will be something to boast about to fellow west African countries - 'Eh, we're not a democracy but look what Mali has developed ... West Africas first lithium producer, global top 5 deposit, and at world standard production'
A source of pride for Mali and will be used as proof of the Junta's pro development agenda.
