There is no doubt if a company like PLS wants to remain one of the big boys it needs to expand beyond its single mine (yes I know its 2) site in the Pilbara. The big boys, SQM, Arcadium, ALbemarle all have production in different jurisdictions, remember too S America is probably more politically challenging that Africa. Hard rock is it’s expertise, that leaves Canada & Africa. MinRes seem to be consolidating around the gold fields making it hard for a company like PLS to get a foot in. Most resources in Canada are years & years away from mining.

All the big companies are expanding into Africa, FMG just did its first IO shipment from G a b o n, Rio BHP etc etc. If I was Simon I’d be worried they might make a cheap offer, maybe thats one of the reasons he’s happy to remain suspended until they prove the economics & logistics of Goulamina.
