    I think the commentary on climate was fair.

    Need to consider that cyclones petter out over land and as a rule dump most of thier rain soon after crossing the coast. Late season cyclones reaching the Southwest cross the coast south of Perth as a rule, so cannot be used as a good comparison of how far south Cyclones can travel.

    Lake well does appear to be in a sweet spot if you take a historical perspective (DYOR) No cyclones on record have hit the immediate area, and fronts crossing the coast have little chance of reaching the area and certainly wouldn't do any more than settle the dust for a day or two if they did.

    Climate change could affect cyclone activity one way or the other, but ........ place your bets. No point in running for the bomb shelter.
