lets say our market cap is 50m and we raise another 50m. New market cap should be $100m. If you had $1m of shares you had 1/50 of all shares on issue. If you participate in cap raise you would have to come up with $1m to maintain your position.
see thing cost money $$$ to build, so if company doesn’t have money it will use capital it raise via selling shares (dilution) or by debt (no dilution but risks of default)
