Oz Minerals, when it was having trouble, was suspended for well over a month and if not more (from memory).

If there is something in the deal that either ASX does not like, or AZZ is unable to disclose without breaching the agreement, then they will stay suspended if the ASX says so.

My expectation is however is that the news is released in the morning and trading recommences."

ASX have done exactly what I said they are able to do. And that is to suspend the stock until they are satisfied. It happened.............
