I know where you're coming from Appolloz, but one of the most important underlying principles of capitalism is people chasing their own self interest (Adam Smith), as it generally leads to the best outcomes. "Self interest" here is distinguished from "selfishness", they are not one and the same. Smith's view on self interest in this context is the motivation to act for oneself based on their own morals and goal of helping others. This is why the vote is so important and people must be free to choose how they vote, all we can do is make sure they are voting for the best of reasons and not simply for their own gain to the detriment of everyone else.

I understand why non-option holders want to vote NO, but they are generally misguided and so I try to provide insight as to why I think they're misguided. The rest is up to them.
