Sorry, can't support "Management handled it badly" comments. If your thesis for holding OBs up until yesterday was a bet on the Government folding, you got that wrong, but that is certainly outside the control of the company. If that wasn't your bet, then there were several dots pointing to the potential for an extension, you either chose to ignore them, or didn't join them. Your instincts have served you well over the campaign, you have made very good coin trusting them, unfortunately this time it went the other way.
