That 5% + jump in oil prices on Friday has translated to a significantly higher leap for 2 worthy Karoon Gas acquirers.
California Resources ( on NYSE) is up 15% ..despite its USD6billion debt mountain
More likely acquirer shale oil producer Rex Energy Corp ( REXX on Nasdaq) is up 10% .
Whilst REXX must eventually grapple with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450 .... the minimum bid price of $1.00 per share requirement... its recent volatile share price history suggests that the USD700 million debt pile qualifies is as a likely contender.
Personally, I would like to see some of the west Texas producers in the Permian shale basin come forward .
Maybe I'll make a few phone calls ....after I buy some more KAR next week.
