Having heard nothing of substance that Ms Kelly had achieved during her tenure it appears as though the board got sick of underperformance and have decided to get rid of some dead wood that had been hanging on to a pay check.
While it appeared like a great opportunity to get a person who appeared to be well connected, my amateur and uninformed take on this is that she made a good bureaucrat who maybe wasn't cut out for the commercial cut and thrust this role demanded.
Not a bad pay day for her - but one has to assume that those in charge have made the tough decision to move on to better things with out her.
