To add to that, much of the processing plant has been simplified and optimised - as announced on 12 September 2023 and in project update from 16 April 2024.
Processing plant optimisation includes:
- Two processing trains reduced to one
- Four HPGR units reduced to three (including on small HPGR for regrinding)
- Energy usage reduced by up to 30%
- Pebbles sufficiently competent to serve as grinding media
Therefore lower capital and operating costs in processing when compared to previous design.
