You may be interested to know that Dynasty have pegged a lot of ground to the East of Julia Creek in QLD.

Oil shale is your answer.

How much ground?

Have not measured it personally but it should be approx. 3000 sq km .

Why Oil shale ground?

The QLD government have recently lifted the moratorium on extracting and processing the stuff.
