A quick calculation of the following possible monies owed to government and parents.
LDCPDP ( Long Day Care Professional Development Programme )
Have based these calculations on an average size centre with 9 staff including 2 early childhood teachers.
Over the 3 year claim period it works out to be $6.14m. Affinity have probably only received a third of this at this particular time, which would be $2.05m.
They have 12,350 places. Enrolment advances from the government (if claimed) would be $1.77m, but adjusted to $1.41m in line with their occupancy levels.
Fees in advance from parents $2.14m, adjusted to occupancy levels and reduced a further 20%, as not all parents are able to meet that condition, $1.28m.
The above is an estimate and my opinion only.
