Correct me if I'm wrong but in reading Kirklands announcement I see nothing that indicates this will affect the Union Reef processing plant. It clearly states that Kirklands Mine will be put in temporary care and maintenance which may actually be positive for AHK. With AHK stating they will start mining next month this could all be part of the plan.
