Yes, @Lureman, IPT remains 'enigmatic'. The stock responded to the Lake Hope acquistion announcement on March 21, 2023 by climbing 25% to 1c. Five weeks later, the group placed 333m shares at a premium to raise $4m.
My calculations suggest the market is placing a valuation on the Lake Hope HPA project of around $17m and a similar valuation of about $17m on the Broken Hill exploration and everything else.
CEO Dr Michael ("call me Mike") Jones has never spelt out the exact value of the HPA resource, presumably because he doesn't want to incur a knuckle-wrap from the ASX.
But he would agree that the value is many billions of dollars.
So why does the share price struggle to top 1.5c? And why is market cap sub $40m?
It seems that either the market hasn't done sums on Lake Hope or that it has done sums and concludes that the project is - or will be - a dud.
