    LGL's recent write-off was about about A$450 million but the Ballarat asset on Dec 2008 was valued at approx A$550 million prior to being downgraded in value

    Apparently Lihir paid $350 million for Ballarat, which suggests that the capex and development expenditure for Ballarat was about $200 million
