    re: Ann: LGL: LGL rejects acquisition proposa... I cannot understand NCM wanting to buy Lihr Gold. It has been one of the most disapointing gold miners around. Poor dividends, endless costly upgrades to plant, done $200,000,000 at Ballarat and a poor return for capital with a looming end to its Lihr Island gold mine in the not too distant future.
    Maybe NCM have dreams of upping its performance. Dumb decision to buy into trouble, that's why NCM is down today.
