Yes, there should be some action soon. As we know, Lithium sulphur is the future of batteries because of their ability to store more electrons within their molecular structure but devilishly hard to make with a decent lifespan ....but LiS has one of the few solutions. Traditional LFP and lithium nickel derivatives used in EV's are both now down below $85 per kW which is amazingly low. But sulphur being so cheap should be able to be produced for around the same price eventually but with far higher energy density for the same weight of battery. But LIS underpaly the automotive market that will now explode now that the above battery prices allow an EV to be made at parity pricing (with the caveat that only Tesla and the some of the Chinese car makers know how, Ford, GM, the Europeans & Japanese have been asleep at the EV wheel and are years off EV profitability and headed for financial catastrophe with ICE vehicles which mean that either they are sworn to secrecy or know the tech isn't suitable for EV's in the near term. BYD are in intense competition with CATL and thes 2 battery giants are slugging it out with the former a nose in front so the latter might well be sniffing around LIS tech which would help them maintain supremacy.

Solid state batteries are yet to emerge and by time they do their will probably be a big yawn as the gap with jelly roll lithium batteries that are already in mass production will be so narrow in output but wide in price few will want to change technologies, its likely going to be a VHS/Beta format replay.

Anyhow I digress, back to what LIS have divulged, the drone market is exploding and aviation is about to take off as soon as a suitable lightweight but powerful battery is available so that alone means that the LIS batteries about to come off the production line will be eagerly snapped up for evaluation with orders or licensing deals surely to soon follow. Imagine you have a drone with a flight time of 12 minutes but for just an extra say $100 you can double it's range...... the owners won't bat an eyelid as they open their wallets. And with powerful lightweight batteries like these not only allow the conversion away from jet aircraft, it enables VTOL from the top of buildings and properties at way cheaper prices and far higher safety than helicopters. We are in the midst of a revolution with the right bleeding edge technology at the right time, its amazing the excitment isn't showing up in the share price. IMHO the risk reward balance is now out of kilter so I genuinely need to evaluate increasing my holding as the time to do it seems to be around now.
