It's certainly a good time to be a gold producer, or to be about to become a producer, but having given more consideration to the extensive work to be done to refurbish the Adelong plant and bring it back up to an acceptable standard of performance and reliability, I think that they have a long road and a lot of expenditure ahead of them. .
There are so many new producers and start-ups gearing up for production in the next 12 months, many of which will probably bring some very rich pickings for those investors prepared to accept a degree of risk, and I've decided that I'll retreat to the sidelines and watch how GDM develops.
