...I suspect that below the boulders the outcrop extends down...down...further down, miraculously sidetracks the Earth's core, then goes up and up until it reaches the other side of planet. If that is the case, the deposit could be approx.12,000 kilometres thick!
We should probably check Google Earth and see if the ground looks similar on the other side of the planet?
