My questioning was more related to battery performance and in particular stored charge but improvements in both stored charge and increase in the number of cycles would appeal to certain manufacturers that required better performance and battery life.

It depends on the specific consumer need. A company that wants better battery performance and life is going to attract more customers. An increase in the number of cycles will give a longer battery life and increasing the stored charge will result in longer use.

I would imagine this would appeal to the likes of Tesla and other electric vehicle manufacturers.

Your reference was to a manufacturer that wasn’t looking at performance and increased cycles but more interested in turn over. I would say they would not be one of our collaborators and not our target market.

Perhaps we should be discussing this on a battery related thread.
