Ok so I am putting my tin foil hat on for a moment.
So they dump massively on the sell side and orchestrate buys and sells between related entities to manipulate the price lower as we have seen happen in my opinion.
But imo it's not just about trying to accumulate off disgruntled retail. It's to stop retail from taking up allotments and fully funding the company. What happens when the raise falls drastically short? Then they are forced to raise additional funds from these sharks sooner than expected likely before meaningful commercial success has happened. Hence they shark their way into a bigger stake of our tech at the expense of retail.
