That is my understanding as well. So the takeover price of $3.75 is reduced by the 7.5 cent dividend and the possible 18 cents per share special dividend leaving a final sale price at $3.50. However, we keep the franking credits. So we get $3.50+$0.075+$0.18+franking credits. My holding is in my superfund. So I will receive the full benefit of the franking credits (my superfund < $1.4m).
