no one is saying to take hope away
the 'share market' is a public market aimed at getting unsophisticated money to buy overpriced scrip from smarter people
the entire point of the stock market is to be able to find 'the greater fool'.
which is why hope - alone - is not an investment strategy
once you have a strategy - then you have rational hope. without - you are just setting yourself up to be the greater fool
