I'm not fussed about the anodyne announcement today. It was a necessary step in due diligence for WB, even though there doesn't seem to be much doubt about the tech anymore. What remains is commercial validation on a large scale. A decision to go ahead with a Linius pilot would be momentous for all stakeholders. No one has attempted anything like this before. As CR has said, VVE is not even on anyone's roadmap, let alone asking if they have a budget for it. To have a channel to market, you at least need to be on somebody's roadmap. So for LNU, commercial execution has been all about getting on enough roadmaps. As a utility, they actually don't have a direct channel to market, but instead rely on channel partners to find a market for them. The money will come when they start clipping the tickets of these partners. I've been impressed with their execution so far (although they were probably early in their listing on the ASX) so let's wait and see. Beer awaits.
