This may be an issue for any OEM wanting to benefit from the IRA (no, not the Irish one), the Inflation Reduction Act
Even if an iffy deal got over the line, any and all downstream that wanted (or were even bound to), the IRA, would have to pass on doing business with any and all who may have the slightest questionable weak links in the chain.
Just not worth getting to the finish line only to be disqualified for potential dodgy deals previously done.
Too much dough to risk over a possible shortcut.
You can bet your white cotton socks that any potential offering(s) will be scrutinised and then run through the ringer again until it's iron clad bullet proof!
No good having the best if you can't sell it, only to have to give it away to a yellow star-studded red flag.
