Just so we're clear. Your mention of "pencils" refers to my investment is Syrah Resources (ASX: SYR) - the worlds largest high purity Graphite resource and only supplier of IRA compliant Natural flake Graphite Ex China into the United States (where they have just dropped interest rates btw)?
IF that is what you are referring to in your post - the world probably won't necessarily need more Pencils - no. I mean, we have things like word processing packages, email and digital comms now etc. However - Graphite itself possesses a huge advantage that Lithium does not. It has UTILITY. It is essential in many other industrlal applications - not just batteries.
Restrict Chinese Graphite and you increase demand from elsewhere.
