There is often more to these agreements than meets the eye and the devil is in the detail. For the port to sign off, they would have needed to secure environmental approval from DWER because spodumene has never been exported through Geraldton befoyre. Getting the timely DWER approval is a significant tick because we’ve seen many projects held up by EPA/DWER environmental approvals.
The fact LTR have also secured a storage shed at the port through Qube should also not be underestimated. Again, might seem like something you’d take for granted, but port storage is very tightly controlled and can be very expensive to build.
