LISTING: MEL: Meridian Share Offer - Final Price set at $1.50 per share

The Government has advised that Meridian shares have been priced at $1.50 per
share ("Final Price"), payable in instalments as described below.
The determination of the Final Price was at the sole discretion of the
Government as outlined in the Offer Document.
Following completion of the bookbuild process, Meridian has been advised and
the Final Price has been announced publicly by the Shareholding Ministers.
Successful applicants will be required to pay $1.00 for the first instalment.
The final instalment payment for each share (payable in May 2015) will be
$0.50.
The Meridian Share Offer is made pursuant to the terms and conditions set out
in a combined Investment Statement and Prospectus dated 20 September 2013 (as
amended by an Instrument to Amend dated 27 September 2013). Further details
of the instalment payments, and the offer generally, are set out in that
document.
Trading of the Instalment Receipts (under the stockcode 'MELCA') is expected
to begin at 1pm (NZST) on Tuesday 29 October on the NZX Main Board on a
conditional settlement basis. Trading of the Instalment Receipts on the ASX
(under the stockcode 'MEZCA') on a conditional and deferred settlement basis
is expected to begin at 12.30 AEST (2.30 NZST) on Tuesday 29 October 2013.
