Its one of many chemistries that shows promise. LiFePo batteries are already used in the industry. Those who don't use that chemistry, like Tesla, made their decision based on the output that can be generated rather than in charge rate. There are LiNiCo chemistries being developed and tested than have both the output profile, and charge rates in that 5 minute range (and remove the risk of thermal runaway).
