So the talk of LI3O4P to LiOH is new?
I've invested very recently with Li stocks in the doldrums because I can see that LIT has been quite prolific at generating IP. There does appear to be a lot of low hanging fruit if Li battery demand pans out as expected.

I have no idea how feasible the project is, but Li3O4P has very different solubility characteristics to LiOH.H2O, so there is a possibility that any reaction process could double as a further purification step, and be a continuous flow process, (rather than a batch process). Continuous flow processes for producing LIOH might be superior to the current batch reactor processes currently used, if it were feasible. (As batch processes require more labour usually per unit of output, and flow processes tend to scale up better). Apart from the obvious big market for LiOH, there would be some odds of a big eventual outcome from this research at the unit cost level!
