    Sorry, but thats like saying, because HCl acid is in our stomachs, its OK to drink pool acid from the bottle!

    Fluorosilicic acid is the product, Yikes- What is the lixiviant? At least we now know it Fluoride based. Any metallurgist worth his salt will tell you that to break refractory silicates such as spodumene, you need HF and just because you dont add it as HF doesnt mean that there is no HF there. The bespoke lixiviant could be F2, BrF3, ClF3, H2SiF6, SiF4, CaF2, NaF, KF and many other Fluoride bearing compounds, but the fact of the matter is, add this to water and or acid (All the presentations show a sulfur burning (sulfuric) acid plant) Well, it makes HF. Funny that.

    Just because once all the leaching is done and the HF has reacted to form fluorosilicic acid, doesnt mean its any less dangerous, expensive or corrosive.

    Ask yourself how much of the bespoke lixiviant precursor is required and what it costs.
