Kablooey, Yeah Tuke goes hard but he/she is not an idiot. You can tell he does his research, passionate EMH man and a sideline commentator with no vested interest. Calls it how he sees it, I like that.
The purity figures, going from memory LIT got 99% from Lepidolite with Ansto. Sent it away for extensive further processing. To scrape in a battery grade 99.5, not bad - not great, there seems to be a massive leap up to the 99.88% LPD got, doesn't sound like much but that will get a hefty price premium from end users.
The question more so is, what did they have to do to get it to 99.5 and how much did it all cost. The testing has been done so why no recovery rate or cost estimate? Often what you don't hear is that which is spoken the loudest.
I know 2chance did a quick breakdown and it didn't look good (I respect his assessments more than any other poster, I get such great clues on where to do my own research from 2chance. The reason I now use HC)
I'll try to dig it up for you.

As for me buying LIT, without being cheeky, it's AG. I can't trust it. I called it a long time ago and it's just gotten more comical since then.
As for Tesla, Musk, well what a forward thinking guy. A bit like Steve Jobs, hasn't actually invented much, just made EVs sexy and perform well and can market a product.
I have little doubt that big change is coming now that the big Auto's are jumping on board. Lithium is the way they are steering us, so I think this sector has a bright future. Just a matter of picking the right companies that can make it.
Anyways I ramble on, good distraction from work. Have a beer down at the Scottish arms for me eh.

We can only compare what is in the public domain and based on previous piloting on the same material, there was a significant discrepancy between recovery to product of both processes.

Both companies are piloting at the moment (this time on different material) so look out for new results and more importantly recovery to battery grade lithium carb. I know I am.
