As of Monday the 26th there was no reported net shorts, and yesterdays report says there were only 12,600 gross short sales (gross meaning not necessarily still open even) out of roughly 1.4 million total shares traded. I looked couple of days ago as well and there wasn't a lot that day either. So it's obviously not being done to profit from a short position.
Guaranteed someone's making money out of this though.
