I think Pablo is a fraud, irrespective of his past successes. He has been unable to commercialise the process, he has structured the deal so he has the company by the balls, AND he and Jerko are jointly responsible for the decimation of wealth - irrespective of the macro environment.
The company has not been able to produce commercial quantities, the operation is on care and maintenance, and both Jerko and Pablo will continue to get paid as the ship goes down.
