Anything over 800 - 1,000ppm in clays is economic. You can't compare clay grades to hard rock. Mining at Scotty will be more like a quarrying operation than a mining one. No overburden to move, no blasting, no grinding. Just dig the clay up with a backhoe. The lithium in the Scotty clay is not bound in the clay matrix like it is at other projects such as Lithium Americas and Ioneer. This will make the flow sheet simpler with less sulphuric acid and lower costs. This is a good result in my view. IMHO.
