<US$2k/t LiOH is a very good outcome. Cheaper to make Lithium Hydroxide than Lithium Carbonate.
With Chile nationalising lithium industry existing producers will want to pump as much lithium chloride as they can before 2030. As Joe Lowry puts it, Liquid Spodumene...... NMT (and MIN) well place to benefit
Galan is proposing lithium chloride exports and I suspect other Argentinian developers will follow their lead as the logistics of working at 3,000m-4,000m above sea level and getting in a thumping gas supply to a remote region is crazy expensive.
Lower altitude processing of lithium chloride makes a lot more sense even if it is in Argentina.
Yet again Chris and the NMT team have partnered up well for a great opportunity.
Looking forward to the European Critical Raw Materials Act and European Sovereignty Fund more with every day.
