I am surprised at all the excitement over a $15 million loan (interest free) considering the Liontown profit estimations being bandied around and depending on narrators (one calculated $50m profit for the previous quarter alone) $15 million is but a drop in the ocean to LTR.

@chaddy36 re: "Got to be seen as a positive, clearly the WA government see a strong future in lithium."

I don't overly agree, or conversely, is it a tactical move to protect the hands that feed you?

The Western Australian resource sector will contribute 19.2% of the state total revenue for 2024/5, with a forecasted $9.4 billion in royalties (up from the initial $7.8 billion forecasted in last May budget) for the same period.

Mining and Energy extraction supports three in 10 jobs in Western Australia and payroll tax is now expected to total $5.8 billion for 2024/5.

Lithium royalties had fallen (2024/5 mid year review) to $216 million compared to the $1 billion in 2022/3.

The $150 million Lithium Industry Support Plan accounts for .48% of the $3.1 billion budget surplus, and the loans will be repaid, so in all honesty how much would getting it or not getting it, impact LTR overall?

The highlight is the Western Australian government is dynamic and is protecting the Mining Resource sector .. .. ..

Upside for holders, the market appears to like it being up 7.7% currently .. ..
