Abos, I am not a geologist so just putting it out there. Perhaps they have purple mica and just not announced it. May have to be verified, quantity and quality could be under analysis as we speak; perhaps they just think differently, geologists do have to be accurate when reporting as every word will be scrutinised. The 'rabbit warren' near Leonora springs to mind; doesn't even sound plausible, imo.
