Nothing has been paid yet and l'd say maybe nothing ever will be paid to Portman. Even if it is paid in full with no appeals taking place there has never been a cheaper time in which to settle. Imagine if this judgement occurred with sdl @ 60c. May be a blessing in disguise and maybe all pre arranged or at least anticipated by those with deeper pockets than you or me.
