A poor result for SDL that obviously puts pressure on the cash reserves of the company.
We will need more information regarding any likely appeal, how the judgement is to be paid, and when the judgement is to be paid, before being able to get a concrete understanding of the effects of the decision.
You'd think a contingency had been put in place regarding this issue because it was well known to the board.
It also raises the question of why only $7m was raised recently, knowing that a negative outcome here was possible. Was $7m all they could get, or was $7m all that was needed?
Feel for the holders who have a lot invested here because it seems to be issue after issue with this company.
For those who don't have a lot of money involved or who are just watching, the entertainment value of SDL is off the charts.
