I agree with that conclusion. If you read the GSOO in conjunction with the NGIP, the import terminals are the interim solution for forecast East Coast gas shortages until, say, Narrabri is producing and/or the Hunter link from the Roma Hub is built. Port Kembla Import terminal is well advanced, Newcastle Import terminal not far behind. Hastings (Victoria) was canned by the State Government but Geelong seems likely to be green lighted. What isn't clear (to me) at this point is who will be supplying these import terminals. That being said, I think in general WA gas will be earmarked for export. On a micro level, MIN have indicated that LD will (at least in part) be "personal use", feedstock for their own operations.
