Another factor is charging speed. There is a limit to the practical amount of electricity that can be dumped from the grid into cars without expensive infrastructure. So a solid state battery may be able to charge quicker but it won’t have any practical advantage.

The biggest factor that solid has to overcome is production cost. I can’t see it beating the already well established lithium ion unless it can slide into the prevailing paradigm without massive new plant and equipment requirements.

Unless of course the DPMG process can produce graphene cheaply. Bluey waters casually mentions super capacitors in relation to graphene. I know Jack's about solid state batteries but I'll wager good money they depend on super capacitors. Graphene i suspect would be very useful there. So NVX will still be in the game. Feral
