Just to be clear. You think that after being told by the company that they no longer wanted him to lead the company… a company he probably loves deeply…that he should have held onto his shares and cheered for the company to progress without him? So he could turn his 12m into more?
have you ever led a company and been replaced without seeing it coming? It would be gutting. The last thing you would want is to hold when secretly you want them to fail so you don’t feel so bad about not being at the helm. There is no ceo anywhere who would hold onto shares in this situation. I sense you are either a trader or relatively junior in your career and can’t grasp the dichotomy here.
