Nothing of note to see there - but anyone holding or following this stock should take a good read through the forum on ceo.ca in Canada https://ceo.ca/lio ... some interesting comments regarding a recent video blooper.
During a recent online presentation for Beaver Creek conference, it seems that LIO owner Wally thought he was just on a zoom call not a public video. He started talking to fund holder Crescat Capital and geologist Quentin Hennigh about a possible takeout offer from a major, and wanted Crescat to step up and help out with blocking a bid. I actually watched the video and was stunned to hear him talking so frankly about matters that regular shareholders would rarely get an insight into. Quentin jumped in and actually commented in response that 'they'll need to cut that bit out' - and a few hours after the video went live it was taken down, edited and reuploaded without the candid comments! New version here, and below it I'll post a selection of the comments from the board which you can read in link above if interested. Also of note is that the most recent round of drill results, which are quite good, were never released on the ASX - very odd, see @Newsfile/lion-one-adds-numerous-high-grade-intercepts-near-surface" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://ceo.ca/@Newsfile/lion-one-adds-numerous-high-grade-intercepts-near-surface from 7 Sept. All in all despite the awful shareprice performance of late there's plenty going on.
@kerfuffle So I cranked the audio and just listened to the interview again. I think I got more out of it the second time. It is obvious from Wally that several companies are getting very serious. As a big shareholder himself, Wally is certainly aligned with shareholders. I think we are in a great place right now. The volume today was really nothing. I can't wait for it to really pick up. 11 Sep 2021, 09:35
@Wisguy1 LOL. YouTube video unavailable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=uUz-xyhe01k 0 11 Sep 2021, 10:17 @kerfuffle I figured that would happen so I downloaded it. 11 Sep 2021, 10:26
@zentrarian Me too! That was entirely predictable. Somebody obviously forgot to edit out Wally's comments, because QH even told him they would be. (I hope Wally didn't blow a gasket when he watched it. We need him to stay healthy!) 11 Sep 2021, 12:51
@ctoivo Yeah, Quinton kind of sounded like the guy politely trying to shush up a tipsey uncle at a dinner party. Wally appears worried that a hostile would accumulate 10 % and go on from there. It doesn't seem to me that they would be successful. QH goes on to say: "Max, obviously you need to clip out this bit if you can."............3 to 4 years ago, Wally told me they had offers but that he certainly wasn't going to give the company away because he owned a good chunk of it....My guess is that he'd consider $5 Canadian right now, with that increasing as things develop. Newmont would likely be the best bet for buying it imo. (if I were a betting man--other than buying and selling junior gold company shares ) 11 Sep 2021, 13:27
