If LMG aim to meet the 8,000tpa demand in Australia, the 8,000tpa to MEC and the minimum of 4,000tpa to Japan under the current offtake agreement, the 10,000tpa Plus plant could already be ear tagged for 20,000tpa.
In the announcement relating specifically to the Australian plant...
"LMG plans to sell the refined magnesium under long-term contracts to USA and Japanese customers. Currently, Australia imports 100% of the 8,000 tonnes annually consumed."
It may be just a generalised tatement but I don't think so. The two offtake agreements and Australian demand appear to be purposefully combined in one paragraph. If it were not so and mendt to be totalistic, LMG would have included Europe and other World regions I would think.
