I'm abit surprised that there's not talk about a Canadian plant.
Canada has Nickel slag, hydro power and a large Aluminium smelting industry and the US DOE levy of 141% on Chinese Magnesium imports is going to create financial mayhem for existing North America end users.

There are very few other commercial Magnesium metal producers even in prospect so don't be surprised if we rapidly end up with at least one other 100kt plant being proposed. Funding for it might not be LMG's issue either depending on retained equity (which I expect will only be 10 or 20% ish).

Not sure if an additional 100kt per year will even make a dent in the supply issue though.
