Spencer Damian White, CFA

Managing Director - Projects

Based in HCMC Mr White has more than twenty-five years in Asia in both capital markets and as an entrepreneur. He leads overall project management with a specific focus on structuring and financing.

During his career he has invested in, and advised upon, a wide range of asset classes across the entire region, including both listed and unlisted equities, debt and derivatives. During his time in Vietnam Mr White established TWL Pacific, a business consulting company. Between 2009 and 2011 he was the co-founder and Managing Partner of D2 Capital Partners, responsible for structuring and negotiations as well as the investment activities of the firm.

Prior to this Mr White was the founding CEO of TVS, a start-up investment bank based in Hanoi from 2007. Mr White also served as a Managing Director for Merrill Lynch in Asia Pacific between 1999 and 2006, as the Chief Regional Strategist and the Country Head for Taiwan before that. In the mid-1990’s he was an Associate Director of AIB Govett Investment Managers and the start of the decade he served as an investment manager with Hambros Investment Bank after he had worked in the Treasury department of the AP Moller Group.

Ian Nguyen

Managing Director - Origination

Ian is primarily responsible for deal origination as well as government relations. He also heads the office in Hanoi.

He has spent over a decade in financial markets in Southeast Asia on both the buy-side and sell-side. As an investment professional he has participated in some of the largest IPOs and equity capital markets deals in Southeast Asia. He has an extensive executive network with investment funds, financial institutions and publicly listed companies. He has invested in companies across all major industries including infrastructure, construction, oil & gas, mining, plantations, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, real estate, media, telecommunications, financial services, engineering and more.

Prior to returning to Vietnam, he spent five years in Singapore covering Southeast Asian equity capital markets. Ian was CEO of Cheyne Capital Asia a wholly owned subsidiary of London based multi-asset strategy and alternative investment manager Cheyne Capital Management LLP. Before Cheyne Capital, Ian was Director for an affiliated company of Belvedere Investment Partners LLP, a UK based hedge fund manager. Before Singapore, Ian started his early career in Vietnam at investment banks including Citibank as well as boutique investment firms in both sales & trading and corporate finance roles.

Bobby Quintos

Managing Director - Engineering

Bobby leads all of the engineering-related elements of the projects, with a specific focus on offshore LNG and associated technologies.

Based in Houston, Bobby founded Argo Group LLC, an established LNG to power originator in Southeast Asia and the Caribbean. He has over 30 years as an executive with oil and gas majors and has had several expatriate postings in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. He spent seven years in South Korean shipyards as lead ABS Surveyor for EPCI new construction of VLCCs, Bulk Carriers and fifth generation deepwater drillships as well as authored the ABS Guidelines for Dynamic Positioning Systems. He also spent two years in Corpus Christi, TX for EPCI new construction of oil and gas production platforms for the Gulf of Mexico.

As an executive for BP he managed marine operations for seven major oil production platform assets in the Gulf of Mexico with a total value of US$ 8 billion. He also spent two years with BP Iraq as the Business Development Manager for export Infrastructure to support the Iraq Rumaila field production increase from 1 million barrels of oil per day to 1.45 million barrels today generating US$ 200 billion in revenue for Iraq in the last six years. As BP Asia Pacific Logistics and Infrastructure Manager he was responsible for logistics operations and maintenance for Tangguh LNG Terminal valued at US$ 3 billion. Bobby holds a Bachelors of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from SUNY Maritime College, and a Command and Staff Diploma from the postgraduate US Naval War College.
