I heard a story once. Someone was on their huge farm in the back blocks somewhere. They lived alone so no one knew where they were. Anyhow, they had an accident. Leg stuck under a rock maybe. Can’t remember. Anyhow, they weren’t going to be able to get out. Choices - cut their leg off or die. They cut their leg off and I think drove to where help was available. Moral of the story - Stig would have stayed there and died. No positive outlook.
